Trustees voted to activate the School Naming Committee in anticipation of the possible changes to school names due to the consolidation and/or repurposing and/or closure of schools related to the approved Facilities Modernization Plan.

Trustees Approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price from Core West, Inc. as the Construction Manager at Risk for the Bernice Mathews Elementary School Modernization Project
Trustees approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price from Core West, Inc. as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the Bernice Mathews Elementary School modernization project, in the amount of $14,045,136. Trustees approved a contingency in the amount of $1,245,000, for a total of $15,290,136. Finally, Trustees approved WCSD's Owner-CMAR Construction Agreement.

Trustees Approved the 2025/2026 "A" Major Projects Program for Design Phase Funding for Several Projects
Trustees approved the 2025/2026 "A" Major Projects Program for design phase funding for Sparks High School modernization project, North Valleys High School modernization project, and funding for the Information Technology device refresh program, for a total amount of $22,700,000, as recommended by the Capital Funding Protection Committee.

Trustees Approved Proposed Revisions to Strategic Plan Action Steps for the 2025-26 School Year, and Approved the One-Year Extension of the Strategic Plan
Trustees heard a presentation on proposed revisions to the Strategic Plan action steps for the 2025-26 school year. Highlights of the presentation included:
- Every strategy presented was reviewed by the Academic Leadership Team using the 4-step revision criteria.
- The revised Strategic Action Plan Steps are divided into five goals (Strong Start for Every Child, Student Voice and Advocacy, Safety and Belonging, Academic Growth and Achievement, and Empowering All Learners for Their Future) with updated subgoals.
- With the majority of strategies in place, the next two years will prioritize refinement and implementation of the updated strategies.
Following the discussion, Trustees voted to approve the proposed revisions and a one-year extension of the Strategic Plan.

Trustees provided preliminary approval to adopt Board Policy 0200, relating to the District's Strategic Plan. This approval initiates the 13-day public review and comment period.

- Review of the District's Aspirations for every learner (Strong Start for Every Child, Student Voice and Advocacy, Safety and Belonging, Academic Growth and Achievement, and Empowering All Learners for Their Future).
- Review of the four pillars (Consistent Standards-Aligned Curriculum and Instruction, Strong Partnerships with Families and the Community, Commitment to Elevating Educators, Culture of Excellence and Accountability).
