Ano ang Board of Trustees at ano ang kanilang pananagutan? Ang Lupon ng mga Trustees ng Distrito ng Paaralan ng Washoe County ay inihalal ng publiko na mga gumagawa ng desisyon para sa distrito ng paaralan. Trustees Approved Washoe County School District Resolution 26-003, Issuing up to $175M in General Obligation Bonds

Trustees approved District Resolution 26-003, a resolution of intent to issue up to $175 million in General Obligation Bonds and authorizing officers of the District to take actions necessary to complete the issuance.

Trustees Received a Presentation on the Progress Made Regarding Strategic Plan Goal 5, Empowering All Learners for their Future

Trustees received a presentation to provide the board of trustees an overview of progress made on Strategic Plan Goal 5 – Empowering All Future Learners. Highlights of the presentation included:

  • Dual credit/concurrent course enrollment increased to 16.5% for 2025-26, as well as enrollment in AP/IB/CTE/dual credit courses overall, although there were also slight dips in AP and IB enrollment.
  • Regarding each graduate having a post-graduation plan, 80% of seniors have met with their school counselor in the fall, and 68% have documented post-graduation goals.
  • There are 12 new CTE programs and two new CTE pathways. There are 776 students enrolled at the Debbie Smith CTE Academy. Additionally, the aviation education program is expanding district-wide.

Trustees Did Not Hear an Item Regarding Modifying Enrollment Boundaries of Several Schools

This item was pulled for consideration due to the Zoning Committee not having the opportunity to meet, due to inclement weather. This item will be heard at a future board meeting.
